Pre- Kindergarten is a wonderful beginning for children to explore and learn. This year is a year of developing skills that will enable children to become successful future learners.
A typical day in Pre-k involves all areas of learning. Math/Social Science/Religion/Reading/ Fine and Gross Motor Activities
The children at St. Stephens are very fortunate to also have Art, Music, Science Lab, Spanish, Computer, Gym and Art Classes every week!
We also do STREAM experiments every Friday. These always highlight and reinforce any theme that we may be working on during the week.
Our Specials Teachers do a great job in reinforcing what we are working on in the classroom setting.
The children on Fridays also attend an extra Art Class that reinforces Fine and Gross Motor Skills.
Pre-K does attend school wide Masses and buddy up with a 7th Grade student to sit with.
We do offer a Before and After School Program that Pre-K is welcome to attend as needed.
The children do eat in our Cafe and can participate in our lunch program or bring their own lunches.
Field Trips are offered during the school year. The children use our bus for transportation to and from the field trips. There are always an appropriate number of adults attending the field trips with the children.
Progress Reports are done twice a year with conferences as needed.
The children also participate in our Christmas Concert, Mother’s Day Tea, Spring Concert and A Graduation ceremony to end our school year in June.
We would be honored to have your child begin their learning adventure with us!
